Good luck with your insturment. I play the only thing that could possibly get more weird looks from family and friends. One of my greatest loves in life is the tuba. It's crazy how people can fall for something like that, but I have hurt my back carrying them, tried very hard to protect my poor battered school insturments, and never tried to keep track of how much time and effort I have put in to trying to improve my skills. It must sound really weird to people who don't play anything that people do things like that for fun.
