However, I regularly play in a Catholic church, where the music leader does fab arrangements for all kinds of instruments. The parts are all written out, but we can improvise if we are so inclined. It was for a more casual sort of thing ... folk kind of stuff. I just improvised. It was really great to do, and quite worshipful.<BR/><BR/>At a former church I attended we had the "worship team" thing going. I'd just bring my oboe sometimes and improvise with them as well. The congregation really loved it. <BR/><BR/>I've never been at a church that was into classical music.
